Crime that counts the people everyone else stopped counting.
Who gets to decide who counts? A literary crime series about a detective, and the people the record stopped holding. Every book stands on its own.

Wade Wakefield writes fiction that lives in the space between the everyday and the unexplainable — crime, speculative thrillers, and stories of faith tested by circumstance. He believes the best stories are the ones that make you late for bed.
He spends his mornings on the water and his evenings at the keyboard — in that order, if the fish are biting. He lives in northern Minnesota with a dog who serves, unofficially, as his first editor, though her notes tend to be harsh and entirely nonverbal. When he’s not fishing or writing, he’s four-wheeling or fighting with a motorcycle in the garage that always seems to need one more thing before it runs.
Wade doesn’t do interviews, doesn’t do book tours, and doesn’t have much of a presence online. Ask around and even his neighbors will tell you he keeps to himself. Some say they’ve never actually seen him — which, if you ask Wade, is probably for the best.
